Lucky Charms
Do you have a crystal or rabbit's foot or something you believe brings you good luck or influences your life. Is it all a placebo effect or do they really work? Why do you feel certain objects are luckier than others? Discuss your (good or bad, charmed or cursed) luck and lucky objects here.

Re: Lucky Charms
My [engagement ] green ring, that's my thing, that I have to wear it.
Then I have a key necklace that means something. A silver apple necklace. Another ring.
A piece of oak bark that I bring when I want luck.
It's not even placebo effect, it's more like pretending you have control makes you calmer- prediction control is the term, I think. Or else it works...Who knows ;]
My parents married on Friday the 13th, and their marriage has been great.
Have you heard any funny, unlucky-things to do? Like, "look on the face of death, never feel your baby's breath"? Pregnant women aren't supposed to view the body at a wake. And if a corpse's skin isn't ice cold, there will be another death soon. My nanny said that her father was like that and her mother died 6 weeks later because she couldn't live without him, just dropped dead.
That's a bit off topic, but very interesting.

Re: Lucky Charms
That is very interesting. I've never heard them before. There should be a ''Superstitions'' thread.
