Popular Things You Hate
Everyone fapping over a band/show/movie/book/something you just can't stand or don't get how it's gotten so popular? Discuss well-liked things you hate here. (Note, this is different to ''I hate it because it's popular'' it's not about being unique or difficult. It's more like ''I hate ... How did it get so popular?'')

Re: Popular Things You Hate
I'm sensing I know why you started this thread
I don't understand a current clothes trend - the whole small dogs/birds/dots print pattern on EVERYTHING. I could understand dots, but there's dogs and cats and birds and it's just a tiny image over and over again. I just don't understand the appeal.

Nah because Twilight's more hated than not these days, still pisses me off though :')
I've not really noticed those prints. I've noticed everyone dresses the same though. Even the ''chavs'' have so-called ''emo hair'' skinny jeans, those ballet flat shoes etc. Or in the summer everyone had those denim hotpants things on all the time. But apart from that I don't follow fashion trends, all labels blend into one for me :S
I can't stand shows like The Inbetweeners and South Park. They're not ''offensive'' or anything (Hello, Jimmy fan here) they're just boring and crap and it seems like it's aimed at 12 year olds. ''Your mum. Poop.'' ''LOL OMG SO FUNNY'' no.

Touche.
Oh I know exactly what you mean! It's all denim hot pants (with tights in winter), the ballet flat things/pumps or uggs. I do wonder if maybe the emo hair thing is because the emo label has changed, and thus what once was is no longer? I wouldn't know though. That label was always bullshit as far as I'm concerned.
I liked what I saw of The Inbetweeners. I do see where you're coming from with South Park though, I don't mind it - watched it late at night a time or two when nothing else was on. But it's nothing spectacular, and probably is aimed at 12 year olds to be honest, them and nostalgics.

Fashion changes way too much for me to keep up lol emo look is emo look but what was ''emo'' in like 2007 isn't ''emo'' now. The hair in eyes look really annoys me, too. I like eyes and I like to see peoples' faces

I also bite.
Also, are body-warmers suddenly a trend or is that just me being out in the world more?

Re: Popular Things You Hate
Ooh, lots of things irritate me.
Riding boots, jodhpurs and quilted jackets/bodywarmers have became really popular - all those horsey looking things, but with people who don't ride or anything :[ I don't understand that. I don't ride either, so it's not some elitist thingy, I just think it's a bit pretentious.
Just like wearing boat shoes when you aren't on a boat, which people also do lots over here.
I don't like leggings, hoodies, pumps, chinos, that red/purple shade of hair that's really popular, video games, soaps, reality tv, game shows, tv generally, ugg boots, coloured trousers, those weird big bun things people love, etc, etc. I have too many, hahah
Two years ago I'd be like angry about this stuff, now it's just eye-rolling. I guess I'm not an angry teenager anymore I know what's for me and what isn't.
I hate Bieber though. Just because he stole my birthday.
Does anybody remember slouch socks? http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR8uLWdiW7A5o7d1-AhbB3wMvQsSQp3ZqQf5bO6bdDWuRXRr2gk they were soo big back when i was starting high school, and i'll never know why. ugglly,

Re: Popular Things You Hate
How can you hate hoodies? I love them. Not the boring kind that just have a huge brand printed on them and that's it though.
I totally agree on you with uggs and the buns. I have never understood uggs but everyone seems to wear them. As for the buns, it's just messy looking and I'm a total perfectionist when I tie my hair up so I can't understand how anyone can stand to have that - that and put in the effort for a bun haha.
You hate video games? Even Batman/Jak and Daxter?
I don't remember those socks, I agree with you on them though. Definitely. Can't stand socks that are falling down/wrinkles. Actually something else, I can't stand floral pattern, and I swear some shops it's on EVERY PIECE of female clothing. It genuinely pisses me off, and makes me more glad I prefer shopping online anyway.

I love my jak, but i don't like playing it at all. I don't understand the appeal of sitting for four hours then standing up to go about real life and having nothing to show for it. That'd make me rip my skin off.

While I wouldn't exactly sit for four hours, I would get a sense of achievement if I managed to make progress or actually complete a game.I mean aside from the Pokemon games, I've only ever completed one game.
Re: Popular Things You Hate
What game was that?

Re: Popular Things You Hate
What can I say, I am neither a good gamer, or able to sit on one game for a long period of time. One day though, one day.
Re: Popular Things You Hate
Same here Gemma :') I've only completed racing games
