Does anybody know this movie?

Is there a film that you want to find, one you remember a clip of/the trailer/watching but can't remember much else? Post about it here for help.

I hope somebody gets mine, because this has been bugging me for years-
It began with a baby left on a doorstep, in a city, at night, and taken in by a woman. The only other part I remember was a fight scene in some place that might've been a factory, with lots of steam and power rangers-esque effects.
Ring any bells? I've looked at a lot of eighties fantasy movies but I still haven't found it, and it really bothers me.

Oh I'm sorry I can't help you but I have a ''does anyone know this'' to add:

All I remember was something happened in this woman's childhood and she flips out every time she sees something of the colour red. She adopted a load of kids but one of them had OCD or something and kept washing his/her hands. The woman sees the kid's hands all red from all the washing and I think she flips out and kills herself or something. IDK *bad memory* but if that sounds familiar (oh, and every time I've asked before I keep getting ''Marnie'' I recently watched that and nope, wasn't it)
